Foundation Information Brochure — SVFEI Case for Support
Who We Are
We are a volunteer group of parents and members of the community who want to ensure the continued success of current Saucon Valley students, as well as that of future generations. The Foundation is an autonomous, non-profit corporation recognized as tax exempt under Section 501C(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is separate and distinct from the Board of Education. Trustees administer all activities and funds.
What We Do
The Foundation’s vision is to provide creative and innovative learning opportunities for students and teachers that are beyond the scope of the school budget. The Foundation will raise private funds to be used by the schools for projects and creative learning opportunities for all students.
The Foundation funds are not intended to substitute or replace existing taxpayer funding. Instead they are meant to supplement programs and give teachers the opportunity to expand their curriculum with items that don’t fall under the school budget.
The Board of Trustees meets monthly in the conference room located in the District Administration building. All members of the school community are welcome to attend. Monthly meetings are usually every third Friday at 12:00 pm during the regular school year.
