Primary funds have been created to encourage innovative achievement in seven target areas.
THE TECHNOLOGY & LEARNING FUND
Today, technology is the engine that drives our economy. Our world is increasingly dependent on technology for everything from communication to space exploration and medicine. Students with a strong understanding of technology and its applications will have an edge in their academic and professional careers. The Technology & Learning Fund supports programs that promote the use of emerging technologies and provides experiences that will prepare students for the workplace of the future.
THE ARTS & EDUCATION FUND
If technology is the engine of a civilization, the arts are its spirit. The arts define our civilization and connect our cultures. Through the Arts & Education Fund, the Foundation seeks to provide experiences in the fine, visual and performing arts that will enhance existing programs, promote greater student participation and lay the groundwork for a life long appreciation of the arts, for students, faculty, and the community.
THE CULTURAL ENRICHMENT FUND
Resources from this fund encourage projects and partnerships that generate cross-cultural appreciation so that students, faculty and community might be enriched by, and prepared for, life and work in an increasingly interdependent global society.
THE SCHOLASTIC ENHANCEMENT FUND
The key to scholastic excellence is immersion of students into a variety of learning situations. To achieve this goal, the Foundation encourages programs that look beyond the walls of the classroom. The Scholastic Enhancement Fund stimulates the examination of bold ideas, questions and concepts outside, but related to, the core curriculum.
THE HEALTH & WELLNESS FUND
A healthy mind can thrive and grow only within a healthy body. The Health & Wellness Fund supports programs that allow students to build healthy life habits and that provide the fitness level and stamina required for school and life.
THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP FUND
Our ever-changing global economy needs the innovative ideas of insightful youth. The Entrepreneurship
Fund supports programs focused on increasing student interest in our free enterprise system through exposure to business education, the changing economy and the critical role entrepreneurship plays in our society.
THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUND
Teachers need the tools, resources and leadership skills to help students accomplish their goals. In support of our invaluable teaching staff, the Foundation encourages classroom innovation through ongoing enrichment. The Professional Development Fund enables District teachers and administrators to pursue professional training experiences not available through traditional resources.
